Looking to order a new plushie in honor of my birthday today

#obviously the plush wont be here in time cause again my birthday is literally right now right this second #but this is a gift I wanna get myself #especially because Im sad today. its been a very mid bday #my fam took me out to lunch but my sis took part of my food cause we always trade some #but it ended up being half ofmy portion so I didn't get to eat a lot of the main course #amd other than that I've done literally everything else I do daily today #like I went to look around the nearby mall which Im at literally every day cause its close to work/is my bus stop #and then went home after an hour because I've already seen literally everything there #and now I get to sit at home on the corner of my bed on my phone. ir maybe draw on my pc #like I do every day of my life #amd Im sure some people will be like “why didn't you do smth different” couldn't because I have tp bus everywhere #amd nobody wanted to wake up or get dressed to go out until 2 #then we went to eat. amd by the time we were done it was 4 #so too late to travel by bus anywhere interesting cause it'd take an hour n a half/2 hours to arrive at wherever #caus by time we get there we gotta get the bus in an hour or 2 before it stops running for the day #and maybe I should just be grateful fpr a normal day and that I got to spend it with family #but my family sucks but I am appreciative #but this is a milestone birthday #idk if it's selfish t want a little more than the norm or not because of it. my mind is leaning towards yes #but anyways. plushies #idk whatIm getting yet #I want something colorful I think #I'll show pics when I choose/order #viti shoosh

by the way irt boycotting sanrio the fact that they had stores open in "Israel" in 2011 is no longer particularly relevant (theyre closed), the important thing is that their products (specifically the plushies) are made by jazwares which has a wildly zionist ceo

so rather than a sanrio boycott it's a jazwares boycott which applies to a lot of popular plushes: sanrio, pokemon, squishmallows, etc.

My experience carrying a stuffed animal with me at school every day

Wrapping up my first semester where I decided to be brave and carry a plushie with me, and figured I’d share my experience for anyone who wants to bring their plushies but may be nervous. I carried a small to medium cat plush in my hands and placed them on my desk every day.

I can safely say my experience has been nothing but positive!

- No one ridiculed or treated me unkind for it, any questions were posed with respect. I worried people wouldn’t take me seriously, but it’s not a problem I encountered.

- I made friends more easily and people asked me questions about my plush (name,brand,etc) quite often and seemed interested in my answers.

- None of my professors made any rude comments or told me to put them away. One asked if my plush was a recording device and why I had her but didn’t push further when I replied no, she’s just here because she makes me happy.

- Some professors made jokes, one pretended to punch my cat plush because he “doesn’t like cats” and another told me not to bring a black cat because it reminds him of a past cat he had and disliked. Nothing serious it was all in good fun from professors who frequently joked with other students as well.

- It made me very happy and comforted to have a plushie friend with me!! That alone makes it worth it.

I’m a fourth year college student, if you are in high school your experience may vary as you could face teasing from peers as I had before, but remember the world is so much kinder <3

#age demographic of peers in interacting with was 18-40 so my experiences may differ from younger peers #but I would still encourage you to go for it if you’re thinking of bringing a plushie with you!#don’t let others control harmless things that make you happy #anyways thank you for reading <3 #stuffed animals #plushie community #plushblr #essa #emotional support stuffed animal

A plushie manufacturer reached out to me a couple of days ago, asking if I would be interested in a collab with them and I of course said yes!

So many people have already made JayVik plushies inspired by the show, so I was thinking about having Jayce and Viktor plushies made based on my designs for the knight/prince AU.

Would you guys be interested in that?

oh i'm just a joy to have at family christmas. here's a list of things i've done to make my family (which i do not get along with) vaguely upset but without giving them grounds to be actually mad:

1) spent ~30 minutes total (split between three instances) explaining detailed parts of Baldur's Gate 3 lore before anyone had had any food or coffee and was thus unable to combat my special interest energy

2) used my somewhat extensive knowledge (gained via writing a big paper on the sex positivity movement) of laws surrounding sex work to refute my conservative, sex-negative family's statements on the legalities of sex work (key point is i did not debate, i only refuted, which was very infuriating for them)

3) started to eat the wrapping paper in front of them when they wouldn't let me eat food (they let me eat food after that)

4) referred to multiple fictional men as "babygirl" without explaining what that means.

5) derailed a conversation in which they were praising trump by going on a full explanation on the usefulness and ethics of honey, as well as its historical uses and immortality and how scientists ate ancient honey and it tastes the same

#anyway this family is fucking insane but i'm sitting on the couch with a plushie scrolling and anytime anyone says some bullshit i sl #*say something crazier in return #i'm comfy as hell and no one can get mad at me actually #personal

exam 5 for me... tomorrow!

honestly have been feeling really nervous for this exam since my classmates have either failed it or just barely passed. and i had less time to study this time around because i rushed to book the exam.

so i drew this little encouragement early cuz i need the reminder that no matter what happens tomorrow, i did what i could and i didn't compromise on my boundaries—and that is its own victory.

and i hope that you'll be reminded to celebrate your own big and small victories too!
